Gram flour halwa is one of the many enjoyed halwa in the sub-continent. It can be prepared quite easily in a short amount of time. A simple and easy to follow recipe is given below.
Time To Prepare
20-25 min
Ingredients:
1. Butter (200 g)
2. Gram Flour (1 cup)
3. White Sugar (7 tsp)
4. Milk (1/2 cup)
Serving Size
3 persons
Method:
1. Melt butter (200 grams) in a non-stick sauce pan on low flame.
2. Add 1 cup of gram flour and stir well clearing all lumps. Stir intermittently on low flame and cook for 7-9 min. This stage determines the colour of halwa when fully prepared.
3. Now add milk (1/2 cup) and stir again. Cook for another 2-3 min and during this time milk will evaporate and halwa will become slightly darker.
4. Add sugar (7 tsp) and mix it well on low flame for 2 more minutes. When done, turn your stove off. Your halwa is ready to serve.
5. Garnish with nuts as per taste.
