Condensed milk serves as an ingredient in preparation of many desserts such as ice cream and cookies etc. It can be consumed directly too due to its unique taste and mesmerizing color. It is simple to prepare and requires only 2 ingredients.

Method
1. Pour sugar(1/2 cup) and milk (2 cups) in non-stick saucepan and set flame to low heat. Stir it until all the sugar is dissolved. This will take about 5-7 min.
2. Once all the sugar is dissolve slightly increase the flame so that the mixture keeps simmering but it should not boil up.
3. Let the mixture simmer for 25-30 minutes. By this time the color will turn creamy and milk will be thickened. Another cue is that it will be ready when reduced to half quantity or in our case to 1 cup.
4. Now turn off the flame and let it cool. It will thicken even more when cooled. Transfer it to an airtight jar when completely cooled and then store in refrigerator.
