1. Aloe Vera Loves Sunlight
Aloe veras like to enjoy sun but be careful as too bright or high temperature will rot the plant. If you happen to live in areas where temperature can reach 35℃ or above, it is best to place them under shade where indirect sunlight can reach for at least 3-5 hours a day for outdoor plants. For indoor aloe veras, they can be placed near sunny windows. Moderation is the key here.
2. Water Thoroughly But Sparingly
Aloe veras require very little water compared to other plants in a typical garden. In summer, watering thoroughly once per week is sufficient. In winters, once every 2 weeks is sufficient. Wait for the soil to be completely dry before watering again. Make sure that the soil bed in case of outdoor plants and pots in case of indoor plants are well drained. If the roots of the plant remains in water for long, they will cause the leaves to rot and may eventually end up killing it.
3. Fertilize When Needed
Aloe vera require very little quantity of fertilizers. It is best to fertilize lightly once per month during growing season i.e, April to September. Too much of fertilizer can do more harm than good.
That is it for today. Three simple tips to help your aloe vera grow and nourish in no time.
