Chicken Drumsticks Recipe

Chicken Drumsticks are consumed in a variety of ways. They are a great accompanying dish in Chinese cuisine and can also be served with tea. 




Ingredients

1. Chicken Drumsticks without skin (7)
2. Medium sized potato (1, boiled and skin peeled)
3. Medium sized onions (2, finely chopped)
4. Green chilies (2, Finely chopped)
5. All purpose flour (3 cup )
6. Cornflour (1 cup)
7. Egg (1)
8. Coriander Powder ( 1 Tablespoon)
9. Black pepper powder (1 teaspoon)
10. Salt to taste
11. Soy sauce ( 1 teaspoon)
12. Red chili sauce (1 tablespoon)
13. Red pepper powder (1 teaspoon)

1 hr

Refrigeration Time 
3-4 hr

Serving Size
3-4 persons


METHOD:

1. Take a sauce pan and boil chicken drumsticks (add salt to taste) until soft.

2. Drain the excess water and let the drumsticks cool down.

3. Separate the meat from chicken drumsticks (debone them) and mash them in a separate bowl in which you will make the mixture.

4. Now add the boiled potato (mashes) and all the above mentioned ingredients in the mashed chicken and mix well with your hand.

5. Make sure the mixture is thick so that it will stick back on chicken leg bones properly in round shape. If the mixture is very thick, you can add little water so that all the ingredients mix well. But make sure that the mixture isn't watery or it will not form the shape needed nor it will stick back on drumsticks.

6. Now the mixture is ready. Start making medium sized balls of the mixtures on the chicken leg bones (size as in image given) and place them in a tray in a way that they don't touch each other. 

Refrigerate the drumsticks for 3-4 hours


7. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours.

8. Heat good amount of oil in a wok for deep frying the drumsticks. Make sure the oil is hot enough to maintain its temperature when drumsticks are placed in it. 

9. Now put your drumsticks in medium heated oil and make sure to punch holes in each drumstick with a fork.

10. Dish out your drumsticks when they turn medium brown as shown in image.

11. Serve with Fresh salad.
